(1921–    )
Army/USAAF, First Lieutenant

I was in the Field Artillery in 1942 for one year and transferred to the Army Air Corps, where I became a navigator on a B-24 Liberator. I was shot down and parachuted into Yugoslavia on November 20, 1944, where I was “Missing In Action” until January 18, 1945, when, with my crew members, I walked back into Allied Control.
